Community Outreach Opportunity

MHFT is planning several community outreach events to promote real engagement with our community in support of our students and neighborhood public schools. The Federation and the District believe that building relationships and partnerships with parents and community members is essential to improving student achievement. We encourage every MHUSD employee to join in this dialogue.

Sunday, May 18 at St. Catherine's Church from 1:30-3:00 p.m.

Join us for the hospitality time after the Spanish mass for a meet and greet event. We will have information about all of our sites, bilingual opportunities, and graduation/college eligibility in English and Spanish along the perimeter of the room and hope that 25-35 classified and certificated staff will be able to engage with our community.

Mushroom Mardi Gras May 24-25 downtown Morgan Hill from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Join us at the MHUSD table to meet and greet the general public. This event is well attended and we are hoping that sites, teams of teachers, club advisors, etc. will sign up for 1 to 2 hour blocks to engage with the public. Feel free to have students join you at the booth. Click here to sign up for a time slot.

Thursday, May 29 at El Toro Youth Center from 7:00-8:30 p.m.

Join us for a more formal presentation to our families and community members that attend the El Toro Youth Center. We will provide information in English and Spanish during this presentation. We will need approximately 15-20 district employees at this event.

*If you are a teacher who is bilingual, we would especially appreciate your assistance at any or all of these events.

Please join us at one or all of the community outreach events! Drop-ins are welcome, but we would appreciate RSVPs to help us plan effectively. We would like coverage for both days at the Mushroom Mardi Gras, so we will need to know where we need to add people. Send RSVPs to your building rep or to Theresa Sage at

We appreciate your commitment to this important work.
